A bunch of useless crap

I am sitting here enjoying my morning coffee and waiting for my breakfast of ibuprofen to kick in before hitting the road. I managed to knit about 4 more inches onto the scarf last night. I measured it before I went to bed and it's now 44" long. I am figuring I'll have it finished some time on Tuesday and then I am going to try to tackle knitting some socks.

I had forgotten that today was Super Bowl Sunday. I hope I am able to find a parking spot when I get down to FL as a lot of guys will be parked to watch the game. If I didn't have to be in Tampa so early I would just go home for tonight, but that would mean my ride would have to get up much earlier than he normally does and I'm not going to do that to him unless I just can't get a parking spot.

Besides, once I am home I probably won't want to get up that early either.

I slept without an alarm and woke around 6:30 this morning. Not much later than I have been getting up, but it's much nicer to just wake without the blaring of an alarm.

I've enjoyed a leisurely coffee this morning and now I guess it's time to get rolling again. I'll be glad to get home and not have to drive for a few days.

I agree - I'd always rather get up without an alarm, even if the alarm plays pleasant music. Hope you enjoy your few days off!

I can imagine once you get home that you relish being in one spot after bouncing around the U S of A all the time. It's like me when I'm off -if the weather permits I wanna go OUTSIDE.

Tampa should not be bad since the game is all the way down in Miami.

As for Alarm clocks, I have not used on in over 8 years!  It is nice not to wake to them.

The concern in more for truck stop parking as a great many drivers will be stopping to watch the game. I decided to stop just a tad farther North than I had planned, at a little known small truck stop that doesn't have a tv room. Nobody wants to park someplace they can't watch the game today so there was plenty of parking here.

Just means I have to get up 15 minutes earlier is all.

I don't like alarm clocks, or clocks period. I never wear a watch but need a clock in the truck for logging purposes. If not for keeping a log book I really wouldn't care what time it is. For me it's either daytime or nighttime.

The only time I use an alarm is when I have to be at a stop at a certain time that requires me to wake earlier than my norm.
