A bunch of useless crap

Mother Nature is putting on quite the blow this morning in SD. The wind is blowing so hard that it's snowing sideways and I'm having to drop gears on small hills that normally wouldn't slow me down at all. It's a constant battle just to keep the truck on the road which is very tiring.

I took some Advil this morning but it isn't helping at all. The pain kept me from sleeping well last night and between that and fighting the wind I'm already tired. Today I'm not sure which is bothering me more, my back or my hip. Sometimes it hard to tell where the back pain stops and the hip pain starts. They both cause pain in my right leg.

I've only driven two hours so far today and the pain got so bad that I just had to stop for a bit. I was struggling to keep my eyes from tearing up from the pain. This intense cold air isn't helping matters. I need fuel anyway so I can kill two birds with one stone.

I checked in with dispatch earlier and let him know where I was. I was a bit surprised when he didn't really seem upset that I wouldn't be delivering today. He just said that he would put me down for tomorrow. He probably assumes I'm having some pain issues as that's normally what slows me down.

I've walked around a bit and have just now finished my breakfast. I guess it's time to refuel the rig and try to make it further down the road.

We had a snow shower last week (only lasted about 1/2 hour) where the wind was blowing so hard, the birds were flying sideways! But Like I said, it was brief, not a full day of it. Good luck making headway.

that's always funny to see. Been through a bunch of white-outs from snow blowing across the road. I hope this wind dies down soon, it's making for rough going. I'm in Sioux Falls now so only about 5 hours to Ft McCoy.

Thanks Dev. Not much I can do for it except to stop every couple of hours and move around a bit.

Gentle stretching...yoga like, have you tried that to ease the pessure? I know that probably doesn't help much, but maybe just a tiny bit?!

I do hope you feel better soon. Pain sucks!

BTW....you'r headline is showy!!

Hang in there.

Find out about "pelvic tilts" if you didn't already know. I'm not licensed in SD nor do I carry malpractice insurance there, so this is just dude to dude, OK.

Thanks, I do stretch as much as I am able and it does help a little sometimes. If I didn't stretch regularly I probably couldn't walk at all.

A good title often helps

Thanks dude. I read this in MN anyway

That's one of the exercises they had me doing during my recovery from the surgery. I still do them but am not sure how much they really help.
