A bunch of useless crap
New appliances arrived

I got a phone call from Sears this morning. "Your order has arrived, you may pick it up any time". Order? What order?

Turns out Jo Ann ordered a new stove and range hood about a week ago. I knew the old stove was on it's last legs (chicken of course) and I recall a discussion wherein she said we wanted to get a new one. Guess I must have said "OK".

Ok, we picked them up and got them home. Brand new smooth surface stove, the one with the glass cooking surface. A the range hood turns out to be a microwave/hood. Hmmmm, a bit more expensive than I counted on, but ok. She works hard and deserves it.

I pulled the old stove ok and her brother hauls it away for us. I get the new stove wired up and installed with little trouble. But the microwave/range hood thing. Wow. Now that's going to take a bit f work. I pulled out and unwired the old standard range hood with little fanfare.

After looking it all over I see I'm going to have to wire a new outlet up inside the cabinet to make the thing work. Am also going to have to do a good deal of drilling, measuring, and reworking to get the thing mounted.

It's going to be a trip to Lowes and then a bunch of work to get this thing in.

Oh well, she works hard and she's worth it.

She is a lucky woman and I hope she is aware of it always.

Good luck with the installation and all. Let me know how it all goes.
