A bunch of useless crap

I called it an early night last night after having a bit of a problem with one of the locals in the hotel's lounge. I wanted to relax not be involved in stupidity and drama. Some people can screw up a wet dream.

I had a good night's sleep but awoke much earlier than I really wanted. I'm having some complimentary coffee and just kind of slowly working up to braving the cold wind out there. My truck is parked at the far end of the lot and it's going to be a chilly walk. I'm not even going to bother until the sun puts in an appearance.

I did spend a little time knitting last night but still didn't make a lot of progress on the scarf. Perhaps tonight I'll do better with it.

I'm going to have to get some miles in today so that I am not too far behind on the trip. Although I have a lot of extra time to kill between here and Seattle I don't want to drag my feet too much. I'll try and make Rapid CIty today. That shouldn't be too difficult as it's only about 7.5 hours from here. Gillette would be better but it's another 2 hours down the road. I'll see how I feel when I reach Rapid City.

Although I woke early, I am not really awake yet. Perhaps another cup of coffee will do the trick.

Cold mornings are when I really do miss my coffee!  But not any other time.  I miss hot tea too during dinner.  Ah well, I dont miss being all hyped up on caffeine.

I don't know if I could give up my morning caffeine.

I hope my "Where are you?" comment last night didn't freak you out...and that's why your article is gone today. I'm from northern Minnesota--I was just wondering if we'd been to the same bar...and if you were in my hometown I'd try to point you somewhere better the next time you drove through.

I hope your trip down 94 is smooth today. Keep a thermos of coffee. In southern WY along 80 the thermostat says 20 above but it sure as hell doesn't feel like it.

Not at all. Actually I deleted it this morning as I wasn't happy with it as written. I do that sometimes - reread something and decide it wasn't worth typing in the first place.

I'm traveling across I-90 and am currently in a little place called Dexter.

Time to brave the cold.

I woke up early and was outside by 7:30 this morning going to chem lab...unfortunately we don't even start the stupid thing 'til next week. I'm not sure why we didn't do anything today...it's a rather long lab, but whatever. It was rather brisk to say the least. Winter's finally kicking in around here.

I haven't had coffee in awhile...usually I'm not up early enough to even worry about it.

I didn't make it too far down the road. I road for about 30 minutes and decided to stop and eat breakfast. It's a novelty for me to have breakfast when it's actually still breakfast time.

The wind has died down so it doesn't feel nearly as cold as it did yesterday. There is a very light snow falling. It's so light that at first I thought I had imagined a snowflake, but it's there. Just a few flakes here and there.

I received a call from dispatch. The snow broom has been reconsigned to the port in Seattle so he has to fax me a new bill of lading for it to reflect the new destination, ship name, and booking numbers for the stuff. The Seattle port is one I don't mind visiting as they are pretty efficient about unloading and I won't have to sit around too long.

Caffeine is a great thing in the morning. When I'm feeling a bit rough in the morning I usually down a can of Mountain Dew, even if it's freezing outside.

I love eating breakfasts at night. My mom says it because when I was little I only wanted cereal for dinner. But I think the real reason is eating at all those diners at 3am after leaving the bar.

Hi M! Brrrr....cold is right. Not here, just everywehre else. Try to stay warm! Do show the scarf when you get a chance, if you're brave enought!! Or when it's done, ok?! OK! Drive safe, the weather is not too good lately, as you know!

I don't drink sodas so that's out for me. I like my caffeine hot and strong

Yeah I've done the after bar breakfast more times than I care to count.

I ran into a snow storm in Western MN but it was only about 40 miles across. Sunshine here in SD, but cold and windy.

It's pretty ugly work but I'll try and post a pic once it's finished.

Shows how much you know! We only get 10 maybe 12 flakes to the gross!
