Whew. It pretty much took me all day to get this load loaded on the trailer and secured. It's a bunch of assorted stuff associated with snow removal equipment. A large snow broom, a big power unit, some replacement brushes, a spare tire, and some odd looking parts who's purpose escapes me. Oh yeah, and two monster big gears going to a second stop.
It's a tad over 30 hours driving time to Seattle from here. It wold be nice to have this stuff delivered Friday and be reloaded and heading back this way, but it's just not gonna happen. I could legally get it there late Friday afternoon if I really pushed, but there is no telling what road conditions will be like between here and there. This time of year it can be very unpredictable, especially through Wyoming and the Dakotas.
So, instead of being in a real big hurry, I set up the deliveries for Monday. Now I am not only not in a big hurry, I have a lot of extra time to kill. As soon as I finish eating my breakfast (at 3:30PM central time), I'll fuel up and head back to the yard, park, and go drink a few beers with the boss and some of my fellow drivers.
