A bunch of useless crap

I've been watching a DVD and knitting while relaxing in my truck. The scarf is actually coming along although it does have some (read a lot) flaws. But I can't expect perfection in a first attempted project. I am still very slow, but getting a little bit faster. The scarf is 8" wide and is now 11" long. Only another 29" to go.

That's what I like to do while I knit, too. It's also when I get distracted and add stitches as well. Whoops.

Tonight's choices, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and a variegated merino wool cable knit scarf I'm working on for dharma. Or maybe a hat. Tough guy movies and knitting equal out, right?

I think it's really cool that you're knitting, Mason. I don't have the gumption to stick with it. I think if you stick with it your projects will get better and better...I bet Karen's first projects weren't perfect either, and now she's a pro!

Good for you. And I hope your butt's feeling a little better.

My thinking exactly. For me tonight it's The Terminator and a red scarf in red cheapo Red Hart yarn. I won't waste money of good yarn until my knitting skills improve.

As long as you are not in a Hell's Angels Bar.

After some of the encounters Mason has described, I doubt they'd be fool enough to attack his masculinity for knitting. I believe he can hold his own.

Well done Mason, it sounds like it is coming along nicely now.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.

Yeah, I can handle myself ok, but somehow I don't think suicide by biker boots sounds all that pleasant.

Thanks. I got quite a bit done (relatively speaking) before turning in last night, and the section I worked on last night looks much more even than the previous work so I guess I'm improving somewhat.
