A bunch of useless crap

As usual my back and hip were hurting when I got out of bed this morning. That's normal and I'm used to it. Usually by the time I have walked into the truckstop, had my coffee, and walked back to the truck it has eased up enough for me to go about my business. Not today though.

My back has been hurting more instead of less. Every bump in the road causes a shot of pain in my back and right leg. When I just couldn't stand it any longer I stopped to have some breakfast and move around a bit to try and ease it up. I could barely walk in here, leaning heavy on my cane all the way and taking baby steps. Arrrrgh! I need to make good time today and don't need this shit.

I just took the last of my Motrin with my coffee and hopefully that will help a little. The sooner the better. I'll never make it home if the pain forces me to keep stopping every couple of hours.

I hope things ease up and get better for you soon Mason.  I also hope you get to take a break soon and enjoy the holiday season a bit.

Hopefully the meds will work their magic quickly and by the time you read this things will be better. {big thumbs up}

Just a thought and I may be wrong but something to think about.

I don't normally have too many aches and pains except when I'm running alot and then I have some leg pain with the beginnings I think of arthritis starting to come into play.

But last summer my back was killing me and the mornings were the worst. I felt like a very old person getting out of bed in the morning. I was really starting to wonder what was going on. Then finally, after a couple of weeks, I thought maybe it was the recliner chair I sat in night after night. Never had a problem before but decided to change the seating arrangements just in case, and the pain disappeared.

For some reason, I'm thinking, the cushioning in my beloved old recliner was sagging or something on me and not giving me enough support. Could that be something you could look into? Is there a bed or chair that you use alot that needs to be adjusted or changed?

Just a thought Mason. I haven't had pain like that since. I was hurting bad too. So I know how you feel. Hope you get better soon.

Sounds like KFC has some good points there Mason,  hope you feel better,  sooner rather than later too!

My regular knee was hurting like crazy the day before last,  just before the snow storm rolled in,  the arthritis does that to it.  I imagine you're getting some in that hip now.  You might need something that won't affect your concentration,  yet do more for the pain.

Best wishes

Sounds like a bit of sciatica Mason. 3 to 5 trips to the massage therapist clears it up for a few months. Course this don't help you while your out on the road.

I hope it clears up soon Mason.  And have a safe and pain free trip from here on out.  Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the comments folks. I had back surgery in 1999. I have some permanent nerve damage in the lower back which was compounded in the car wreck. Not really much to be done for it.

I've just been dealing with it today. While it always hurts, some days are better than others.

Thanks LW. I've had the injections in the past and they definitely helped for a while. I just can't afford them right now. (I wish I could)

Thanks FS. It's feeling a little better today. Looks like I won't be making it home until Christmas day, but at least I'll make it home.
