I got rolling around 7:00 central time this morning. I was hoping to make it to the IL/WI line before stopping tonight but my hip was really starting to bother me so I have stopped in Northern IN which is still ok even if not as far as I would have liked. I'm about 5 hours from my delivery point in WI, not counting any Chicago area traffic delays.
I'm going to get an early start in the morning so I can make Oshkosh before noon if at all possible. I am really hoping that once I am unloaded dispatch will have a load to get me home as I really could use a break. The sooner the better. I need to spend some time burning off some energy on my recumbent.
Traffic is already getting bad with holiday travelers. I can just imagine what it's going to be like while I am trying to get home this weekend.
I'll be very glad when Friday gets here and I get paid. I'm down to my last few bucks. Luckily I still have enough food in the truck to tide me over until then. I think I am going to have to buy a new microwave after the first of the year. The part that rotates the glass plate is making some terrible noises and sounds like it's about to give it up for good. Hopefully it'll hold up for at least a few more days as I can't afford to buy one just now.
