A bunch of useless crap
Published on December 7, 2006 By MasonM In Blogging
I got held up for a little while first thing this morning. An IL DOT salt truck tried to go under and overpass with his dump bed raised. It didn't make it and the salt truck was wedged under the overpass. Traffic was backed up for miles.

Once I got past that it was smooth sailing. No disasters, accidents, or major problems. I stopped once in KY to have the rest of my oversize permits faxed to me. While I was there I walked over to the tobacco shop and picked up a fresh bag of pipe tobacco. I chose a whiskey cavendish blend this time. I'm looking forward to filling a bowl this evening and giving it a try. I need to get back by Florence, KY so that I can stop at Strauss Tobacconist to pick up another pound of their Losantiville house blend. Good stuff.

I'm now parked in TN just 22 miles from the AL line watching the sun go down. Barring any adventures I should be able to make delivery in the FL panhandle tomorrow afternoon. I'll be glad when this one is over with.

It's cold here but warmer than it was in WI or Northern IL, and there's no snow on the ground which is a vast improvement.

I'm looking forward to a peaceful evening of DVD watching and relaxation.

You sound relaxed and happy.  That's good if that's what I'm interpeting.

My son and I went out to Pizza Pub for personal pan pizzas,  head some garlic cheesey bread,  yummy stuff.  Got to watch the sun down as we wolfed down those pizzas..

He's going to watch Earl tonight,  I'll watch Survivor.

It WAS cold up here!  Coldest night since last Feb.!

Have a good night Mason

So close to home yet so far! Yep, still a bit chillier than usual but thank heavens no snow!

You would think that salt truck would have known better than having it's bed raised when going under an overpass!

Have a good evening with Socrates!

Well, Sally has had her umHuh thing done, and now she is a different cat.  Talk about a Drama Queen!  But she says "Mroww" to Socrates.  That is Cat for "I know how you feel".

Yeah, I'm sure she's a bit unhappy right now.

Good thing they get over it quickly.
