It's That Time Of Year

As much as I enjoy the ritual of wet shaving, spoiling myself with a nice shave cream applied with a badger bristle brush and removing my whiskers with a good razor, it's getting into the cold season. I spend a good amount of time outdoors securing loads in all sorts of weather. It's time for me to set aside personal spoilage in favor of practicality.
I have started growing my beard again. The cold weather is setting in and when out in a strong wind and subfreezing temperatures a beard can really make a difference. So I am letting my beard grow again. Most of the year I consider my heavy, fast growing beard a curse but when I have need of a beard it becomes a blessing.
I shaved a couple of days ago. By the end of this month I'll have a full beard. By the end of next month it will look like I've been growing a beard for quite a while.
This is me with a 6 week beard:

That's some beard! Wished I could grow one, but the powers that be on my job declares them verboten. Beards also project that don't-mess-with-me look too that can be useful.
Of course anything that covers my face has GOT to be an improvement...

Yeah, my beard grows fast. When I was in the military I kept a beard because otherwise I had to shave twice a day.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel about growing one too.

No doubt. The gray is becoming more pronounced every year.

Wow, that is some beard, particularly after 6 short weeks. I get healthy growth but not quite as thick and healthy as yours, Mason.

I think I know officially have more gray than any other colour. If I waited a few years and grew a beard like yours, I'd look like an anorexic Santa

I'm such an asshat sometimes! When I posted this I didn't really look at it afterwards. I just posted it and followed the replies. I just realized that I hotlinked the wrong pic. My apologies, it was not intentional.
This is the correct pic, after 6 weeks, The one I originally linked was at about 12 or 14 weeks.
