A bunch of useless crap

As I've been on a more or less vegetarian diet (not strict) for most of the year I am feeling a serious meat over load after Thanksgiving. My system simply isn't used to eating this much meat and I'm feeling it. I eat small amounts of meat here and there, even having a steak once in a while, but I don't eat it on a daily basis and never a lot of it.

I had to go buy some groceries for the remainder of my home stay and decided to avoid any more meat products so as to try and get my digestive system to settle down again. Damned IBS can be a real pain. Literally. I picked up some veggie burgers. I haven't had them in a while.

I know, I can just hear some of you say "yuk". Fried in olive oil they really aren't bad at all. I like them. That's tonight's dinner.

Tomorrow I'm going to make some brown rice and fix up some fried rice with lots of soy sauce. I can make enough of that to serve as both lunch and dinner. Tomorrow's breakfast will be a nice healthy bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar . Yum.

I am addicted to black bean burgers.  They are so good.

We had them once and I liked em,  they tasted to me like stovetop stuffing.  I suppose other brands taste different too.

I borrowed a book on Eating for IBS  and most of their advice is what I've learned I need to do to feel good.  The recipes aren't too hard either,  in regards to getting different ingredients.

hmmm, these sure don't taste like stuffing The ones I buy don't exactly taste like beef but they still taste pretty good.

Is that Heather Van Vorous' book? If so, it's a good one and the recipes are pretty good. I get her email newsletter every month and have used a good many recipes from her website.
