A bunch of useless crap

Socrates and I finally made it home again. I really hate Miami. The traffic is ungodly. On the way home I called the vet to see if they can get Socrates in to be neutered while I am home this week. What with Thanksgiving and all I was expecting to be told no.

Instead, knowing that he and I are truckers, she said she would squeeze him in on Wednesday. Good news for me, maybe not so good for Socrates.

We're settled in at home once again. It's a tad chilly here and I had to fire up the space heater to knock off the chill in here. I picked up some brews and ordered a pizza from papa John's which should be here in a few minutes. As lunch today was a sandwich off a roach coach while they were unloading my trailer, I'm pretty much starving at this point.

Socrates is extremely happy to see home again. As soon as I released him from his carrier he made a mad dash all over the place to make sure everything was to his satisfaction. I swear I don't think his feet touched the floor once

I'm looking forward to airing up the tires and lubing the chain on the bent tomorrow and getting in some riding time. My hip is really stiff and sore and I'm hoping the bent will work it's usual magic on it. As the temps are cool I should be able to knock off a quick 20 or 30 miles tomorrow without too much trouble. I'll have to work in a stop at the grocery at some point during the ride. I'm hoping by the weekend I can do a 50 mile ride as I am really needing the workout at this point.

Oh yeah, and I need to get some tme in at the laundrymat some time in the next few days. Have to.

Ahhhh, home sweet hovel.

Kismet! Sally's time too! Ya think they are siblings separated at birth?

Enjoy the bent and the warm weather! My wife just added another blanket (but then she has the heat turned off - my kind of weather!)

You're kidding! Now that's just weird. Maybe they are soul mates

Thanks, but it's not that warm (for Florida). Well, ok, warmer than VA

Not mine, I prefer hot weather, but what can you do? I'll just fire up the electric blanket tonight.

There really is something swell about finally coming home,  after being on the road,  or even just out of the apt for an appt.  it's good to step inside the door and collapse...

Poor baby Socrates...give him a hug for me?  And hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah there is. Must be about how the cavemen felt when they made it back to the cave without getting eaten.

And hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, you too.

I suppose you'd have to forgive Socrates for being a little nuts after the road. I think we all get a bit like that after a long road trip.

The weather here today is 34% Celsius (about 93% farenheit) and about 32% relevant humidity. Tomorrow is expected to be 38% (which right on 100% farenheit). I might have to go for a swim this afternoon.

So you have 127% weather???? Who's weather are you stealing?

Yeah and he won't be spraying in my truck which is the whole point here.

Ohhh, Simon can commiserate with Socrates. He had his nads removed last Thursday. Everything went well and he's back to his normal hippity-hoppity ways. But boy is it hard to give a rabbit oral medication. I have scratches on my arms, stomach and even boobs to prove it - and no I wasn't trying to medicate him in my birthday suit!

Anway, we'll be thinking of the little guy and wishing him well.

Yikes. Yeah that spray smell....whoa! I had a cat that sprayed once, before it died of a heart attack (seriously..persians are so inbred). And it about gave ME a heart attack.

Hell, Socrates keeps me covered in scratches now

Thanks.

Yeah, imagine that male cat spray scent in an enclosed area like a truck. His happy ass is getting fixed before that happens!

He was sitting there watching me when I made the call today to make the appointment. He's been acting all lovey dovey ever since. I think he's trying to butter me up to change my mind

Yep, it's for his (my) own good.

Thanks.
