Rain, fog, snow. These are weather conditions which seriously reduce visibility when driving. The smart thing to do (and legally required in most states) is to turn on your lights so that other drivers can see you. It just makes sense and can greatly reduce accidents. So why are there so many drivers out there who refuse to do it?
Anyone who has ever driven on wet roads is familiar with that large cloud of spray coming from the tires of a big truck. What many don't seem to realize is that cloud of spray does a very good job of hiding your car from the truck driver. If you are driving on a wet/snowy road and don't have your lights on there is a very good chance that the driver of the rig you are passing can't see you at all. Guess what happens if he/she decides to change lanes? Yep, you get run over. Know what else? If you didn't have your lights on, it's your damn fault.
You people need to use your lights when visibility is reduced. It's simple common sense and could well save your life. And no, just turning on your marker (parking) lights in NOT good enough no matter how cool you think it makes you look. It doesn't require much effort to reach over and turn on your lights. It just requires a very small amount of thought which seems to be impossible for some of the dimwits out there on the roads.
Turn your damn lights on stupid!!!!!!!!! I don't have time to deal with all of the paperwork associated with running over and killing your dumb ass no matter how much it may help the human gene pool.
