A bunch of useless crap

I've been here at the truckstop in San Antonio all day waiting to get a load. Dispatch finally called me around 4:30 this afternoon. This load sounds like it's going to be a royal pain in the ass. At first the plan was to go over by Houston in the morning to pick up a couple of pieces, and then to Livingston to pick up an excavator. The weight is going to be tricky at best. I also have to stop some place and pick up some 4x4 lumber to load it on.

The Houston pick up is at the port. They're always a pain. He faxed me the paperwork for that one and upon reading it I noticed that it said the pick up appointment time was for 8-9PM. Hmmmm. I called him back and asked him if he had noticed that small detail He hadn't.

So I'm to head over that way in the morning and we'll "figure it out then". It sounds like I'll be going to get the excavator first and then coming back for the rest. I think it's going to be a very long day.

Dang those little itty-bitty details! Well, at least it's not snowing.

Yeah, snow would suck about now.

San Antonio...isn't that close to Loca?

I would guess Mason is staying a good bit warmer than us mid-Atlantic and Northern East-coasters are right now.

Hopefully you get a little R&R time in good ol' Tejas while you're there.  Perhaps you could swing through Crawford and /wave at Cindy Sheehan while passin' thru.

Maybe we can send you some snow this winter Forever!

Good luck today.  Hope the journey goes better than the load.

Yeah, it's the details that'll getcha. I've been lucky so far and stayed out of any snow, but I'm sure I'll find some eventually.

Thanks, Guy. I'm hoping the loading turns out to be less of a hassle than I think it will be. I'm now off to try and find a friggin lumber yard somewhere between here and Channelview.
