This morning I carried my kit into the truckstop and had a nice relaxing shave before heading out on the road. As I was lathering up with the T&H Limes the driver standing at the sink next to me sniffed a couple of times and then looked over at me and said "You know, I could swear I keep smelling Key Lime pie".
I couldn't help but laugh and then held the bowl of cream under his nose so he could get a good whiff. Naturally a bunch of questions ensued regarding where to buy it, how hard is it to learn to use a brush, etc...
He seemed quite fascinated not only by the scent but the entire process. I gave him some pointers on where to find the supplies as well as getting good info at the shaving forum. Turns out he's computer illiterate.
Ah well, at least I enjoyed my shave as well as a cup of coffee with him afterwards.
I'm in Northern IL tonight and it's quite a bit cooler than it was in KY. Yesterday I was running the ac and today I ran most of the way with just the vent until I finally had to add a touch of heat to it. It's cold, raining, and...yuk.
I found a nice arm hat today. It's made in a similar style to what I've seen the Chinese Army wear in winter. Rabbit fur lined and made so that the side flaps can be secured down over the ears. I think it'll be my favorite cold, windy weather hat even if it is kind of dorky looking. Hey, when it comes to keeping warm I couldn't care less how dumb it looks just so long as it's warm.
