Socrates is going to the vet this morning for his rabies shot and first booster. As my usual ride is tied up It will also be Socrates' first ride on my bike. That should be interesting.
I'm sure he won't be a happy camper later on today.

It didn't go too badly. He seemed to enjoy the bike ride part anyway.
As soon as we walked in the place he knew where we were and got very quiet. In the exam room when the young lady opened his carrier he refuse to come out. When she tried to take him out he dug in his claws (it's carpeted) and gave her a good bite on the hand. I had to take him out.
After that he didn't put up any more fight but was obviously not a happy camper. He did take his two shots pretty well. Didn't even whimper.
I think he's glad to be home again.

Hope it went well and that he's feeling better later on today. Ye gads, in the rain did ya have to ride?

He seems ok. The shots don't seem to have bothered him this time.
Nah, it wasn't raining when we went but it was obvious that it was coming.

It's all our kitty can do to tolerate the vet. He just doesn't appreciate what the Doc does for him.
Aw - he's so cute. Give him a lovin' for me.

Yeah, they don't understand. All they know is this strange person is doing things they don't like. It may be worse for Socrates as I am the only human he interacts with. But then again, maybe it's the same for all cats.
I think the shots have affected him a bit. He's been sleeping under the couch for a few hours now. That's not normal for him so I suspect he's feeling a little bad from them.
