A bunch of useless crap

Socrates is in one of those moods. He's in total insane play mode.

He knows that I don't accept him biting me, even playing. He's been running around playing with his little orange dinosaur. He carried it up on the couch and has been flipping around all the the place fighting with it. Well, at one point he got a tad carried away and in the heat of battle he reached over and bit me on the arm while I was typing on the keyboard.

It wasn't a gentle bite. It smarted. I was so surprised by it that reflex caused me to swat him a good one. This really shocked him as I had never swatted him before. I think he wasn't too sure how he should react.

I patted my arm where he bit me, scolded him for biting (he knows what don't bite means) and then picked him up and petted him a bit. At this point the petting was starting to relax him and he wasn't in the mood to relax so he started trying to get loose. He was determined to play, not relax.

I let him down on the floor and tossed his dinosaur toy down as well. He fought with it and flipped around on the floor for a bit and then carried back up on the couch. At that point I just said "don't bite me". He paused for a second to look at me with a "who me?" expression and then started in on the dinosaur again.

I was trying to type and he somehow managed to bring the dinosaur battle right up on my lap and on the keyboard. *Sigh*. Ok, we'll play for a bit. A few minutes of my making the dinosaur attack him satisfied him and I put them both back down on the floor where he immediately started attacking my feet.

At this point I'd had about enough and shouted at him "knock it off already!". He decided it was a good time to get a bite to eat.

Now he's back to fighting with the dinosaur, but now they're fighting under the couch. Geez.

Sally is fascinated by my keyboard as well.  I dont know what they see in it, but I guess they figure if we are playing with it, it must be fun.

Awww..that's such a cute story.  My kitty has a little fish toy that she plays with endlessly.  It always seems to end up on my feet then she attacks my feet, too.
