A bunch of useless crap

This is just sick and is a prime example of what is seriously wrong with American politics. There is an elected Congressman that sent some rather nasty messages to an underaged page. Ok, it's a sick, illegal, and perverse thing to do. It was found out. Good. He was forced to resign. Even better.

Some members of a political party which I will not name but who's initials are DEMOCRAT are trying to use this unfortunate situation to gain some political ground. That's just plain sick. Especially considering their own track record on this exact same issue. It's a sad reflection on our current political system. These sick bastards couldn't care less about the children involved in this situation. They only care about how it can benefit them politically.

This is not in any way a political issue nor should it be. This is about a person who managed to fool not only the voters who put him in office but the people with whom he worked every day. This is about a person who abused his position in order to force his sick perversions upon innocent children.

The only people more sick than this scumbag are the ones who are trying to use his sickness to gain some sort of political advantage. They are the ones who should be hung out to dry right along side him; sick, perverted bastards that they are.

Yeah and the other political party which I will not name but who's initials are REPUBLICAN (good one btw) have always taken the high road. They never took advantage of any scandal for their own parties benefit, right?

That's how the game is played. Like it or not. You can always vote for a third party candidate or write in Mickey Mouse.

2 points.

1. I think the politics the one party is playing is starting to backfire.  As you are not the first or only one to be disgusted by their lack of compassion for the victims.

2. I think it was the defense weasel (hat tip to thatoneguyinslc for that term) has stated that since he did not act upon the IMs, it was not actually illegal.  If not, it was everything other than illegal, and none of it good.

And when they do it, it's just as bad. While I am commenting on this particular situation, it is symptomatic of what is wrong with politics today. Bear in mind that I am not affiliated with either party of bastards.

That's how the game is played.

And that is the real problem. There is a complete and total lack of honor or common sense among our elected today. Damn shame really.

That remains to be seen. As far as I am concerned the whole system is screwed up.

If that were the case then all of these people being busted for explicit chats with minors would also not be breaking the law. If it isn't illegal it damn sure should be. The right of free speech ends when one is mentally victimizing a minor.

What I find interesting is the timing of their attacks. Somebody knew about this before election time.

Of course they did. And they deliberately waited until close to election time to give it to the press. Sick people.
