A bunch of useless crap

After making my delivery in Milwaukee today I was sent to Beaver Dam, WI to pick up some fuel tanks used for generators. They're heading to the Generac plant in Iowa. Wasn't I just in Iowa this morning? Deja vu again.

I'm still in WI but only about 3 1/2 hours from the Iowa delivery point. I'll be getting an early start in the morning. The customer wants delivery by 10am. Maybe. maybe not. We'll see. Once I make the delivery I will be picking up some finished generators from the same plant and hauling them back to the yard.

I am supposed to be taking a load to Louisiana after that, but as plans can be as fluid as goose shit I'll just wait and see what happens on that one. I'm trying to make it home in time to pay my lot rent and house payment but it looks like I'll be late this month. Oh well, there's a first time for everything. I have until the 3rd to pay it but it's looking like I won't make it home until the 4th or 5th at the earliest. It goes that way sometimes. Being as I've never been late with a payment before they shouldn't get too upset. I'll give them a call as soon as I know for sure when I'll be in.

Time to get some rest so I can get up early.

That is a tight time frame on the payment.  Most usually give at least a week, or even 2.

I understand it is getting a bit nippy up there!  We are getting a touch of fall here as well.

Yes, it is a short grace period but with all of the deadbeats out there these days I really can't blame them.

Yeah it's been pretty cold up this way. I think that's one reason this darned cold or whatever it is kepps hanging on. It's make a comeback with a vengeance.

Now, to further complicate matters my truck is acting up. I'm pretty sure the turbo is going out. I made it here to the delivery point in IA but am not sure whether I can make it back to the yard. I may have to pull into a dealership on the way back to have the turbo replaced. Fun, fun.

Yes, it's a busy time of year for us. The trucking business will go strong until the holidays and then really slow down during the first quarter. It goes that way every year.

Now that the truck is giving me problems I don't know if I'll be making that run or not. It's going to depend upon how long the repairs take. If I do I believe Lake Charles and Bosier City (Shreveport area) were mentioned as well as a couple of others including a stop in MS.

My home town and my current home. I guess you'll be headed to Barksdale if you are going to Bossier?

I was born in Shreveport myself.

No, not a military run this time (as far as I know). I don't have all of the details as of yet but I got the impression it was civilian.

I deliberately spelled it that way instead of yoyo. Don't ask me why. I was tired and at the time I thought it was amusing.
