A bunch of useless crap
Published on September 21, 2006 By MasonM In Blogging
As I suspected, the tiredness I had been feeling was the early stages of some damn bug I've picked up some place. After doing a short run down to O'Hare airport yesterday I returned and went to bed. I managed to sleep for 14 hours but it didn't help, I still feel like crap.

I'm going to be running a load down to TX with a stop off at an Air Force Base in OK, which is ok with me. The boss initially asked if I could make the OK stop Friday but I told him I'm really not feeling well and maybe he should make it Monday as I intend to be getting a lot of extra rest over the next few days. He understood and agreed.

I'm at the yard now waiting for them to build my load so I can get going although I'm really not in much of a hurry. I just want to get as early a start as possible so I have that much more time to get there.

I did shock the office manager by actually turning in the paperwork for the couple of short runs I did this week instead of waiting a week or so as I usually do. She's always on to me about not turning it in in a timely manner so I thought I surprise her.

Hopefully this damn bug will pass quickly. I hate being sick out here on the road.

aw Mason, sorry to hear that you are unwell and feeling like little doo doos.

wrap up warm, have a toddy, get into bed, make sure you have Socrates with you for company and go to sleep. sleep is a wonderful healer! You don't feel so crappy when you are asleep!

Yea, I can see that. Not like you can call in sick when you are on the road.  Good luck beating it.

I hate being sick at anytime...I'd rather lay around all day when I'm healthy.

Well, hope you feel better soon, Mason.

If you can't have the common decency to actually type out your words, don't reply to my threads. It's rude and makes you look stupid. Any further comments from you that aren't written in actual words instead of "IM-speak" will be deleted and cause you to be blacklisted from my blog (a very short blacklist indeed).

Thank, Zoo. I hate being sick any time too.

As for your question, he's someone who is obviously enamoured of IM-speak and thinks he's cool by not actually typing out words. I think he's an idiot and that sort of crap is simply rude in my opinion.

I went over to Applyby's for dinner and then to the hotel lounge next door to it for a couple of vodka martinis (Grey Goose, medicial purposes of course). I had an enjoyable conversation with a local school teacher who was there enjoying a couple of scotch and sodas.

I wasn't really feeling up to partying, more of a quiet drink or two before retiring for the evening. I am now settled back into my room for the night and trying to get some much needed rest.
