A bunch of useless crap

I spoke with my dispatcher this morning to find out what kind of load he had planned for me. He had set me up to pick up a truck in Daytona but the guy called him the first thing this morning to cancel as the truck had been wrecked over the weekend. So much for that plan. Hopefully he'll call this afternoon with something else.

In the meantime I'm going about my usual dull routine here. While preparing my lunch I had the computer playing the XM radio 40s channel. I enjoy that old big band music on occasion and was in the mood for it today. There is something about that music that just makes you want to dance. I used to do a lot of Swing and Ballroom dancing and always enjoyed it. So while I was making lunch I was also kind of dancing around a bit to the music.

Socrates just looked at me like I had gone completely out of my mind. He's never seen me act that way before and wasn't too sure what to make of it.

Makes me want to put on my classic styled double breasted pinstripe suit and fedora and go dancing some place.

Ah well, time to do the dishes instead.

Hey Mason,

When are you going to be headed out west again?

Enjoy the time off and give Socrates some milk and a snuggle for me.

Beats me. I never know when I'll be heading to an area until I am actually dispatched. Sometimes I'll request a load to a cartain area but usually I just tell them to give me whatever pays best.

Thanks.

I suspect he'll get use to it.  Remeber, he sees you most of the time sitting behind the big O while the house hums!

I should get a suit like that...they look pretty cool...although, they're not really in fashion anymore...but damn the masses, suits are freakin' awesome. A pain in the ass to put on sometimes, but when you're in there you look pretty snazzy. (I don't think I've ever used the word 'snazzy' before...hmm....)

*sending you some work*

I am sure you are starting to feel fed up with just sitting at home, both yours and Socrates feet are itching now aren't they?

Fashion is fleeting but style is forever.

I have a number of more classic styled suits as well as a few of the more modern designs. I prefer the classics.

If I wanted to *work* I wouldn't drive a truck for a living

Actually I'm not too anxious to get back to it, but what with bills to pay and all that rot I need to.

It looks like I'll be heading out tomorrow morning. I have to pick up a skid steer in Sarasota and then a machine (press) in GA Wednesday morning. One is going to WI and the other to Minneapolis.

I would love to see you all dressed up! And dancing!

Good luck on your next runs, I know you're doing it already. Hope Socrates is doing better now.

Thanks. Trust me it's ugly!

Socrates seems to be pretty much his old self again, thanks.
