A bunch of useless crap

No, I'm not writing about anything kinky. This trip seems wierd to me. I am normally running so as to be able to make my deliveries in a tmely fashion and am more often than not pressed for time. The way this load works out I have a lot of extra time on my hands.

I delivered the first stop in SW VA yesterday. It was only 4 1/2 hours to the second stop South of CHarlotte, NC but that one couldn't deliver until this morning. It's a job site, a new school being built. I delivered that this morning.

My third stop is in Columbia, SC. It's an equipment rental dealer who is open until 5:00PM Eastern time and is only 1 1/2 hours from this morning's delivery. I'm currently stopped about an hour from there for breakfast. Once I get this third stop off it's 1 1/2 hours to the final stop in Walterboro, SC and that one can't deliver until tomorrow morning.

it just really seems strange to have all of this extra time to kill instead of rushing to get where I need to be. But I'm not complaining. The load pays well enough that I'm not concerned about the extra time impacting my income for the week. Anything I do after this is gravy as this load pretty much makes my paycheck for the week.

Ah well, I'm just enjoying while I can. The next load may well be a rush job.

Haha, funny Doc!

Hey M, did you post that pic yet. I have to look around your blog to see if you did.

I agree with you, enjoy the moment! I've been rushing around lately and it's very taxing. Thank heavens I'm working out now so I don't feel too stressed, or at least I try not to feel it!

Well enjoy the down time...or the slower time...not exactly down is it?

Maybe something is gonna happen and you will need the extra time...never know.

Be safe.

Yeah, it's good to stay busy. I've enjoyed the slow pace, and still am. After delivering the final stop this morning I hung around until late afternoon before they finally found me a reload. I used the time to enjoy a nice afternoon nap.
