A bunch of useless crap

I got out my old mesquite hiking stick just to check it's condition and because I was considering putting it in my truck in case the hip was feeling especially good some time out on the road and I wanted to try a short hike. It's a great stick as mesquite is a very strong wood as well as light, and is the perfect length for me.

As I was checking it out I noticed that it's feeling pretty slick these days. Nothing worse than working up a good sweat and trying to hang on to a slick wooden staff. In the past I would always use Zog's Sex Wax on the upper part of the staff where I would be gripping it and it made it easy to keep a grip on it.

There's no surf shop in town so I'll have to hope I can get nearer the coast some time soon and pick up some Sex Wax. It's the best thing I've found for that sort of thing even though it's not really what it is made for.

Great title... I figured, even as candid as you can be, the title was a teaser and the article would be about something else. Still, you suckered a few, which is always good

I am a bit of a surfer too, having grown up on one of the best beaches in Sydney as a kid (Mona Vale Beach). I too am partial to long boards and now that we're moving to Maroubra (one of the better beaches in the Eastern Suburbs), I'm thinking about getting myself another. Oh yeah, and sex wax is the only way to go...

Cool.

Whew. For a minute there I thought this was going to be about something else.

I don't know anything about surfing...would ear wax work?

Made ya look.

Dunno about the ear wax thing though.

A lot of skate shops carry it too. I have even seen it in some inland sporting goods stores.

Didn't know skate shops carried surf wax. I'll have to check it out.

Yep, for surfcboards. They also make one for drum sticks, I think it's called Hump Wax.

Can you think of a better name?
