Just a quick one as I take a very brief break on my way to my final stop. I made my way through the Alabama woods and into Florida yesterday. I found a small truckstop in Mossy Head, FL where I spent the night. I am very curious as to how that name came to be, but am also not sure I want to know. More fun to let the imagination run with that one.
This morning I made the delivery at the airfield and made my way back to the interstate to begin the final leg of the trip to Melbourne, FL. Getting the needed directions to the delivery point proved problematic as the first two people I spoke with had never actually been there and so couldn't give me directions. I was finally referred to a third person who was very difficult to reach. After three voice mail messages and a bit of phone tag I finally got the directions, verified them against the street map software, and feel reasonably sure I know where I'm going.
I still have about 5 hours of driving to get there, not counting the expected traffic delays. Once I get this final stop off in the morning it's about 2 hours or so to home.
