A bunch of useless crap
Published on July 15, 2006 By MasonM In Blogging
I walked over to the grocery store a little while ago to pick up some beer for the weekend. On the way I stopped in a little pet shop next door to the grocery. I have always enjoyed browsing around pets shops. This one had quite a good selection of birds. Everything from finches and parakeets to cockatoos and even a military macaw. I always liked parrots and have had several.

They also had several kittens. Now, I've never really been a "cat person" per se, but I don't really have anything against them either. One of the kittens, a little charcoal gray one, tried desperately to get my attention and to get me to pick it up. I petted it for a moment and scratched it's ears. It was kinda cute.

I was very tempted to buy it to have as a companion while riding the roads in my truck. But, like I said I've never really been a cat person and it would probably be more trouble than anything. I was sorely tempted though.

Ok, scratch the almost. After mulling it over for a while and a return visit I purchased said kitten and the supplies to go with it. I now have a new truckmate.

,  wow!  must be something in the air again...

night before last I was dreaming about horses and the colt I adopted in my dream was charcoal gray...honest.

So yesterday was making plans to check into either getting a dog again,  or else a kitten~ charcoal gray...wow what a coincidence!

I think the companionship will be great for ya,  you going to get a harness and leash?  that way you could hang onto it outside.

Sounds like you and Karmagirl caught the same bug this month.  Those pet stores are dangerous!  Congrats on the new truckmate.  What did you name the kitty?

Ok, this thing is nuts! I spent 20 bucks on cat toys and it ignores them preferring to attack my empty shoes or my feet Well, at least he's starting to get over being freaked out about everything. He was scared to death for all of about 30 minutes.

I had a cat that was better than a guard dog. In fact it even kept dogs away. nothing like a furball of fury to protect your truck . Mason do we get to see pics?

Cats rule.

And someday every human will know it!

I cannot let my wife into animal shelter or Pet Stores!  She would get everyone in sight! (Truth be told, it is tough for me to be tough).

We have 7.  Why?  Because my wife is a pussy cat, and I love her!  I hope this one brings you lots of joy.  OUr 7th likes to ride as well!  Want some tips from my wife?  I will pass this along and ask her to give you some!

What a push over!  Big Bad Mason!  Monster trucker!  And sucker for a purr!

Aren't we all.
