A bunch of useless crap

I made my delivery this morning and then picked up some crane parts before returning to the yard. I picked up my paycheck and was very happy with the amount. That California trip really bumped it up so that it was easily double my normal check.

I rushed to the bank so as to get there before it closed. While I was there I bought a VISA gift card. I then called the store in Florida where I purchased my laptop and made the final $541.96 payment. It's now all mine. Getting it paid off within six months knocked about $1,000 off the total price.

I am now sitting in the Applybys next door to the hotel where I rented a room for the night. I'm enjoying a few cold beers and will enjoy a nice dinner in a little while before heading back to relax for the night. Tomorrow I will will have my truck serviced before striking out for Memphis with a fire truck.

Yep, another oversized load. Man I hope I don't run into permit problems this time. Well, at least I won't have to deal with Georgia this time.

With a pocket full of cash I can think of a lot of things I need to buy or would like to buy, but I think I'll settle for stocking up on road groceries and keep the rest stashed away. I'm still thinking about saving up for a car and this would make a nice start on that.

I may buy a new pair of jeans though, I have one pair that has the beginnings of a hole in them.

Mason? car? Gack!  Run for the hills!  The world is ending!

Glad you made it to pay day!  Have a great evening, and I hope the same bar tenders are there.

Age ya know.

I've been considering buying one to have when I need to do stuff I can't do on the bike. I'm getting tired of bumming rides when I have to do something like that. I really haven't decided yet, just toying with the idea. The bent will remain my primary transportation when home.

Thanks, most of the ones I have fun with are here, but that certain one isn't.

Ah I remember the days of getting paid and not having to worry about spending the money on anything but what I chose......

Enjoy your beer and your break...you deserve it.

Thanks.

It felt really good to pay off the laptop. It was a short term goal and it always feels good to reach a goal.

Payday, diner, beer, maybe a new pair of jeans - life is good!
Hope you have a safe trip.

Woo Hoo for payday!! Got one today as well (my extra check for teaching summer school), and we went out for a nice lunch.

Congrats on paying off your laptop and enjoy the rest of your extra green.

Thanks. I'm back in my hotel room now, relaxing. Can't get too sloshed when I need to get up early and have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow.

Nah. I may turn it on but tv just isn't a big thing for me. Nothing but extreme over-executed fantasy.

Well I was referring to the news...hahahhaa. Wait. So were you huh?

Buwhahahaha.

I like to take a hot shower and then get into bed, hair still wet and watch tv when I go to a hotel. But I have two boys, when do you think the last time I got to do that was? A loooooong time ago.

So its all quiet there? Just the clicking of your fingers on the laptop?

Yeah, I like the peace and quiet.

Me too...but that is because it is a rare commodity in our house during the day.

Right now...both my boys are in bed...my husband is out of town...and besides the clicking of the keyboard I can hear the a/c and a rumble of thunder every now and then.

Bliss.

Yep, it is nice. Except for those pesky voices, it's pretty quiet.

Yes, well I didn't want to be the one to mention the "Voices."
