A bunch of useless crap
After finally unloading the fire truck in Charleston Tuesday I ran down to Savannah, GA and picked up two backhoes heading to Richmond, MI. By the time all of the unloading and loading was done, most of the day was pretty well shot. I made it about four hours up the road and called it a day.

Today I put the pedal to the metal and ran in ernest for Michigan. I did however make a quick stop in Florence, SC to visit the tobacconist. I picked up that calabash pipe I had looked at on my last visit. It smokes even better than I expected. By far the best smoker I have to date and it's going to be a tough one to beat. This style pipe is best known as the pipe Sherlock Holmes smoked. It's a calabash gourd body with a meerschaum bowl.

I'm parked in Michigan for the night after a hard day of running. Time for some much deserved relaxation. I'm going to fill the calabash with some fine tobacco, pop in an XFiles dvd, and chill for a while.

Pop in a DVD?  You dont have a truck, you have an RV with an extra large trailer!

I knew about Richmond Ind, and Ca, but not Michigan.  Guess that makes 4 of them so far.

I wonder how far you are from Stardock?

Might be kinda neat to stop by and meet the gang.

Be safe.

Cool pipe.

Yeah I try to maintain a reasonably civilized lifestyle out here on the road. I did have a refrigerator but sadly the compressor died and I haven't replaced the fridge yet.

Richmond is a pretty common name. Not as common as Springfield, but there seems to be a lot of them.

I may be mistaken, but I thought Stardock was in the general Chicago area? I'll be pasasing through there in a few hours.
