A bunch of useless crap

I'm having my morning coffee at a truckstop in Walton, KY just South of Cincinnatti, trying to get myself awake. It was excellent sleeping weather last night. Cool enough to be comfortable so I didn't need to run the truck over night in order to maintain temperature for sleeping.

Normally my loads are such that the stops are relatively close together, but this one is really spreada out. The load consists of 6 large generators and 2 Bomags (think pavement roller). My first stop is a Bomag in Lexington, KY, about an hour South of here. The second stop is the other Bomag which is going to Manassas, VA, some 8 hours away.

The third and final stop is in Morehead City, NC where all 6 of the generators are going. This is a rare thing as normally a stop gets 1, maybe 2 generators. I've never delivered 6 of them in one place before.

Most trips I can get at least a couple of stops off in a day but as spread out as this one is I'll be doing a stop a day through Wednesday morning. Ah well, it's always something different.

Be safe Mason...that's a big load!

Next time you are around Cincinnati make sure you stop and eat at Gold Star Chili.  I love the three ways....spaghetti, chili, and cheese!  YUM!

Although I realize the odds are extremely rare, if you wind up hauling one of the firetrucks bound for Lefors, Texas (or thereabouts), make sure you email me beforehand. I'll buy you dinner.

I am currently at the Flying J at exit 104 on I95. Will be rolling through Richmond in about 90 minutes give or take. My NC stop doesn't deliver until 8:00am tomorrow so not in a huge hurry to get rolling at the moment. No truckstop down there so won't be online again until maybe sometime tomorrow afternoon once I leave here.
