Met a Fellow Car-Free Cyclist

I just got back from the grocery where I picked up a few things for dinner and a few brews. The cashier noticed the cycling helmet I was wearing. Kind of hard not to
as it's bright red. She asked if I ride my bike everywhere I go and I replied that yes, when I'm home from the road I ride it everywhere as I choose to not own a car.
She looked pleased and related how she also lives car-free and cycles everywhere. We chatted about our bikes and riding for a couple of minutes but had to cut the conversation short as the other customers in line were starting to look a bit impatient. I told her I'd stop back in the next time I got home from the road and maybe we could go riding together to which she said she would look forward to it.
It's nice to meet a fellow cycling enthuiast, even at a Publix.
