A bunch of useless crap
Published on July 22, 2017 By MasonM In Blogging

It really, really rubs me the wrong way to have to ask anyone for help, especially when it comes to money, but I'm in a jam. I lost my home back in 2010 and have been homeless since then. It it weren't for driving a truck for a living I would have no place to sleep at night.

I make ok money driving a truck, but not great. Between paying back child support, {I got behind when I was off work for over a year due to a car accident), which is over $210 a week from my paycheck, and just basic living expenses on the road, it's been impossible for me to save money to get a place to live.

My CDL comes up for renewal next year and one of the federal requirements is that I have a verified residence address. If I can't manage to get myself set up with a place to live I won't be able to renew my CDL and I won't be able to drive a truck any more. I'm afraid that will mean sleeping under a bridge somewhere at that point, and I'm too old for that nonsense.

So, with all of that going on I;m really out of options except for begging for help which I am really loathe to do. If you can't or won't donate I fully understand. Lots of scammers and cons out there these days. But if you can it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't perhaps sharing it around?

I totally understand your situation Mason. I too was out of work for an extended period of time and came close to living in the street. The cards sure seemed stacked against you when you're down, but there is always hope.

You've made a difficult first step, and for that, I commend you! I've also made a small donation. Let's hope that some others see this, and we can get things moving in the right direction.

Good luck Mason!

(now let's hope that this comment goes through as I have had many problems posting comments)

Bunnahabhain; Sorry for the delayed reply.

It is tough to climb back up after being down. For me it all went south after the car wreck in 2004. I was just starting to make a little progress when the economy tanked in 2009 and set me back to square one.

Asking for help is not easy for me, but giving up is out of the question.

Thank you very much for your generosity, I very much appreciate it.
