A bunch of useless crap

Tonight finds me in Lebanon, IN. I am on my way to Jacksonville, FL with an over weight load. As usual, Indiana was slow in getting the permit out so I am not as far along as I would like to be, but such is the nature of trucking.

I will likely be spending a little down time in Florida as my driver's license expires later this month and I will be visiting the wonderfully inefficient DMV to renew it. Can't make a living without it.

After I parked in the truck stop here tonight I accidentally walked into the bar next door. Seriously, I really meant to go into the truck stop but somehow I stumbled through the fence and found myself in the bar instead.

I was amazed that the bartender knew me and even knew what brand of beer I drink. Truly amazing.

Well, since I was there I decided to just go with the flow and ordered a BBQ sandwich to go with my beer. What the heck, I was there anyway, right?

As it turned out I had a pretty decent time talking with a couple of fellow drivers about trucking, politics, world affairs, and the fact that their grandfathers smoked pipes "way back when".

Well, at least the bartender was cute.

Your radar is improving with age!

have a safe trip, and maybe the DMV has improved?  I had to go to ours a week ago, and the wait was not bad (about 20 minutes).

Thanks. I am hoping the DMV has improved, but am not holding my breath on that. Florida's DMV is notorious for being very slow and for taking "bureaucratic" to new heights.
