A bunch of useless crap

I have no idea.  I think everyone knows what hives are, those allergic related little itchy blisters that appear on the skin. Lately I've been getting them popping up here and there, mostly on my arms, and am finding them very annoying.

I can't think of anything new that I have been exposed to that would explain them, they just seem to appear here and there and then go away, sometimes in a matter of just a few hours. Very annoying.

I just got back from Applebee's and am checking up on my list of favorite websites and a part of my right bicep was itching. Sure enough, a patch of hives is there. WTF?

This has been happening for a while now and I just can't imagine what the hell could cause it. I do have some allergies, most of them food related,  but have dealt with them long enough that I know how to avoid them. This seems to just come out of the blue.

I hate this shit as it's just annoying. Once I had a similar situation that turned out to be Shingles. What a painful and annoying situation that was! I can't help but wonder if it isn't somehow related as it feels exactly the same on a smaller scale.

Yeah it will but that stuff makes me really sleepy. Not a great thing when at the wheel of a big rig

Thanks

I don't like that stuff either!

Perhaps a pharmacist can recommend an antihistamine that doesn't cause drowsiness. At the very least, you can take some benadryl at bedtime and/or during layovers and hopefully get some relief.Plain old witch hazel or calamine lotion will help dry them up and relieve some of the itching. So will Solarcaine.

Yeah if it becomes a real problem I may consult with one. I haven't been pestered by them in a couple of days now so maybe whatever was causing it haas gone out of my system. Coulda just been something I ate that took a while to flush out.
