A bunch of useless crap

I'm watching the new 'sitcom' Cavemen, spawned by the tv commercials everyone has seen by now.

I expected the show to pretty much suck, but once again Hollywood has exceeded my expectations and created a show that is far worse than I could have imagined.

The show is a non-stop PC racism-fest fraught with not so subtle racist conversations and scenarios. Just fill in 'caveman' in place of any minority and go with it. It goes beyond the absurdities of typical political correctness.

I couldn't help but think of something I saw written in a bathroom stall recently. It read "Nigger are monkeys". Examine that for a bit and contemplate everything that is wrong with that, on all levels. That's the typical mentality of the average racist in today's society. Do these Hollywood morons really think they are going to influence, in any way, the type of person who would scrawl this out on a bathroom stall with this inane drivel?

Just about anyone with more than three firing brain cells that isn't completely indoctrinated into the PC 'let them do my thinking for me' insanity would find the show either boring or stupid, and those to whom the show is actually reaching out to would probably just find it mildly amusing without ever actually connecting it with anything in their own miserable little lives.

The show is a complete waste of broadcasting time and I can't believe it got past a producer's review.

I skipped it and I'm glad I did.  I always thought the commercials were funny but a whole half hour?  What's next a comedy based on the don't squeeze the charmin guy or the tidy bowl man?  Maybe we could make a million pitching shows based on commercials how about "where's the beef"  or a Budweiser frog show.

A Budweiser Frog show would probably be more funny. Frankly, considering your political leanings I thought you would be fawning all over this show.

Ditto on your comments, I hated it too! I tuned in specifically because I find the commercials very amusing but it was a disappointment on the comedy 20mins!

I tuned in because it was the only channel half way coming in while it was raining

Not exactly the same, but remember "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"?  It was a cute movie, but the series was DOA, dull and boring.

SOmethings are best left as the one joke objects they are.

As for Hollywood exceeding expectations, that is kind of hard for me.  I expect this type of garbage, so I just avoid watching it.  Works every time for me.

I'm wondering how long The Big Bang Theory will last. How long can a show about a nerd pining after a beautiful woman who happens to live in the same building possibly last? At least without Joey and Chandler backing them up, in case their story gets boring. Or Monica and Phoebe backing her up...

Yep, I have all those crazy ideas like respect and tolerance for all people. But crap with good intentions is still crap. I'm taking your word for it since I didn't watch the show.
