A bunch of useless crap

On my way home today Mom called me and said that her friend wanted to sell me her place right across the street from Mom. She offered a good price, was willing to carry the financing herself, and as she knows that paying interest and finance charges is against my religion (CCB) she would finance for 0%.

I went and looked the place over and it's much larger than my place, is fully furnished including two televisions, and a machine that is both a washer and a drier in one unit (now I have to do my own laundry LOL). She was in the process of dying the living room carpet as I looked the place over. We made a deal and I paid her the first month's payment on the place.

As my little travel trailer isn't worth much I told the park they could have it for whatever they could get for it. I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

I'm now preparing to move my stuff the 4 blocks from this palce to the new one. I'm just waiting for the carpet to finish drying, which should be very soon.

I have a brand new fridge and air conditioner in this place. As the lady from whom I am buying the new place owns several properties she can always use them. I agreed to let her have them for an amount taken off the balance of the new place.

The phone should be on at the new place some time later today, the power has already been taken care of, and all that remains is to move in. The DSL service may or may not be transferred over before I have to leave back out on the road. I'll just have to use my laptop and cellular card in the mean time.

As much as I despise moving, it'll be worth it to have a bigger place.

That sounds awesome, Mason. Here is hoping you have a pretty smooth move.

Thanks. It went reasonably well, but now I have to put away all of this stuff!

it is a tradition with Colleen and I to send a house warming gift to new home owners that we like. so if YOU want to. email me your address when you are settled, make a list of something you would like and Coll and I will see what we can do.

Do it, Mason -- I promise you won't regret it. Modman has FABULOUS taste!

Good luck with your new place!
