A bunch of useless crap

I made it across IN and OH and am now parked about 30 minutes away from my first stop for tomorrow. It was an uneventful trip except for one near miss with an idiot of the first order who decided that it would be a great idea to pass me, jump over in front of me so close I couldn't see his tail lights, and then slam on the brakes to take the exit he nearly missed just so he could pass me. Asshole. If I'd felt like dealing with the paperwork I would have run over his dumb ass.

I just finished dinner here at the truck stop. It has a King's restaurant which are usually pretty good. I had chicken Alfredo which was excellent. After dinner I decided to indulge my sweet tooth and ordered a banana split. I knew I'd pay dearly for it, what with my IBS and all, but it just sounded so good. And it was good. Very good. A few minutes doubled over in pain and some time in the bathroom is a small price to pay for such a treat once in a while.

I'm now settled back into my truck, stuffed to the gills and miserable. The kind of miserable you are when you've eaten too much but enjoyed every bite of it. A Thanksgiving kind of miserable. I'm going to pop in my DVD copy of Braveheart and do a bit of knitting. I did a few rows while waiting for my food to arrive, but want to knock out a few more rows before turning in for the night.

It's raining here. It wasn't raining when I went inside but was pouring when I came out. Good thing I'd worn my hat and coat went I went in. It isn't overly cold here right now, my sweater would have done just fine, but the look of the sky told me to wear them. It didn't lie.

Did I mention I'm stuffed? Ugh.

YES!

I ate so much once I threw up, and never was able to eat it again.

hahaha Yuck! I always wanted to get big daddy of 'em all THE MATTERHORN at Baskin Robbins but I was scared that would happen to me, lol.

While we're on the subject of ice cream...ever notice how the stuff can make ya so thirsty? What's up with that?

Oy...but what a treat!

How many times have you watched Braveheart? I think I've read you watching it before. I've seen it two times. It's a good movie! One of my hubby's fav!

My second daughter is named "Murron" from that movie. One of my favs as well (Most of my heritage is Scottish, so little surprise!)

I'd take a banana split too, if I could eat one. It is my favourite desert, next to my wife's Key Lime or Pecan pie, of course.

Sounds like you're over your bug, anyway. Good to hear...

Never cared much for mint ice cream myself. Peanut butter chocolate is my favorite, followed closely by pistachio.

Thanks.

I don't know for sure. I've watched it a few times since it was released. I cycle through my DVD collection a couple of times a year. But it's growing so it becomes less and less frequent.

Cool. I'm mostly Irish, so a relatively shared ancestry.

Yeah, the bug has passed (literally). Key Lime pie is among my top favorites for deserts, as is pecan.

We just finished off the last of her latest Key Lime Pie, me lying on the lounge and my wife spoonfeeding me. Talk about lucky AND spoilt
