But what about beer and then wine?

My beer ran out but as I wasn't yet ready for bed I decided to pull the cork on a bottle of White Zinfandel that I've been saving for a while. It tastes quite good, if a tad too sweet for my tastes.

Hmm, well it was beer then vodka that hurt me on Saturday night. I don't know of any saying to cover this combination. Hmm...

Well, if the 'whiskey' part means you wake up with an almighty hangover, then yeah, it does work the same way. But you know, I'm not about to start my night off drinking vodka then move to beer. It just don't seem right...
