A bunch of useless crap

My mother was ill all weekend. Every since she had the chemo she's had problems keeping food down and her potassium levels drop for no reason. She now knows when her potassium is down, which is why she has been ill.

She visited the doctor this morning and is being admitted into the hospital so that they can put her on an IV to get her potassium back up and feed her via IV to restore her system. When I spoke with her Saturday I suspected that thet would likely be admitting her today.

While I can understand why she hates going into the hospital I am glad that she took my advice about the seeing the doctor today instead of letting it go for a month like she did the last time. With any luck the IVs will help and she'll only need to stay for a day or two. Her doctor was also pleased that she chose to see him early this time.

Hopefully everything will work out well and the doctors will get things settled down quickly.  Best wishes for a quick recovery and for things to get back to normal soon for your mother.

She is a strong woman.  I will pray for her.  I am glad that she finally started listening to her son.

Mason,

I am sorry to hear your mom is not feeling well.  My aunt was on chemo and sometimes I think its worse than the cancer.

You and your mother are in my prayers starting right this second.

Peace.

Yes, the chemo is quite rough on the system. She's never really bounced back from it.

Sending love, prayers, and best wishes for her recovery.   Sure glad she listened to her son!  Sometimes the adult children know what's best for the parent!

Thank you, it's appreciated. I'm also glad she listened as these things are best dealt with as early as possible.
